दुनिया के पांच देशों में दूध देने वाले पशुओं की संख्या मनुष्यों की संख्या से अधिक है। सबसे ज्यादा पशु 12 मिलियन उरगुवै (ब्राजील के पास का देश) में हैं। वहां की जनसंख्या 3 मिलियन है। अर्थात वहां प्रति मनुष्य 3.5 पशु हैं।
